Camp Samac, 275 Conlin Road East, Oshawa, Ontario Canada
As you can see by the map, the camp is located in the urban area of Oshawa. This has many benefits. The camp is easily accessed via public transportation, there are restaurants and grocery stores close by, water taps are supplied from the fresh municipal water, and the City of Oshawa operates a public swimming pool on the grounds.
Because the grounds are with the city limits, there are houses within earshot of the camping areas, so there are restrictions on the size of live campfires.
Getting here:
By Road: Exit at Oshawa - Ritson Road exit and follow Ritson Road north 8.1 km to Conlin Road East. Turn left. The entrance to the camp is 700 m ahead on the left. Follow the camp road to the main parking area or watch for signs directing you.
By GO Transit Bus from Toronto: Take the best route to UOIT Campus at 2000 Simcoe St North. Walk north to the intersection of Simcoe St and Conlin Road (traffic light). Walk east along Conlin past the Royal Bank and enter the campsite just over the bridge (driveway). Estimated distance 700 m.
